The Forró Train returns to Senhor do Bonfim in partnership with VLI.
Following the extensive program prepared by the municipality of Senhor do Bonfim through the Department of Culture in partnership with VLI, this year brought back one of the great successes of São João. After three years, the Forró Train is back. During the 23rd and 24th of June, the residents of Bonfim and the many visitors had access to another option for tourism and leisure, and especially to dance to authentic forró pé de serra, this time on rails.
A tourism and leisure option
During the journey that begins at the train station and passes through the city center, travelers can admire the beauty and unique features of Bonfim, before returning to the starting point at the train station. During these two days, those who wanted to enjoy this fun trip went to the train station and exchanged 800g of powdered milk or a package of adult diapers for a ticket. It's worth noting that all collected materials will be donated to charities.
With the return of the Forró Train, residents of Senhor do Bonfim and visitors to the city were able to enjoy a tourism and leisure option during the June festivities. The train's route, which passes through the city center, allowed travelers to discover the beauty and unique features of Senhor do Bonfim. Furthermore, the charitable initiative of exchanging tickets for powdered milk or adult diapers demonstrated the event's social commitment, as all collected materials will be donated to charitable institutions.
Therefore, the return of the Forró Train was a great opportunity for lovers of authentic "pé de serra" forró music to enjoy moments of fun and culture, while also contributing to social initiatives in the region. The partnership between the municipality of Senhor do Bonfim and VLI was fundamental to the realization of this very special event.
