Distribution of 8,000 organic coffee seedlings in Senhor do Bonfim.
On the morning of this Thursday (15), the city hall of Senhor do
Bonfim, in partnership with SENAR, has begun the second phase of a project to distribute organic coffee seedlings to local producers. The initiative aims to revive the tradition of coffee cultivation that was once strong in the municipality.
The distribution of the seedlings took place in front of the old city hall building and was attended by the Secretary of Agricultural Development, Paulo Terra Nova, and his technical team, as well as the beneficiary rural producers.
According to Secretary Paulo Terra Nova, the project's objective is to revive the coffee tradition in the municipality. Each producer received 500 seedlings and will also have access to technical assistance provided by SENAR.
The distribution of organic coffee seedlings is part of the actions taken by the municipality of Senhor do Bonfim to encourage family farming and promote the development of the agricultural sector in the region.
