The Municipality of Senhor do Bonfim, through the Department of Social Assistance and the Women's Reference Center – CRM, congratulates, on August 7th, 17 years of dedication and commitment to the Maria da Penha Law, supporting women who have experienced or may experience domestic or family violence.

Protection Network: maintaining support for victims

The Protection Network exists due to the effective implementation of the Maria da Penha Law, which ensures resolution and support for victims. The CRM (Central Medical Reference Center) will circulate information on actions to combat violence against women and the various other programs developed by the Municipal Department of Social Assistance.

Programming throughout the month

Throughout the month, the Women's Reference Center – CRM, Ronda Maria da Penha – 6th BPM, Specialized Center for Women's Assistance – NEAM, will maintain a program with lectures, interactive dialogue sessions, entrepreneurship meetings, art therapy and health workshops, meetings and mobilization in different locations, and the topics of the CRM's role, the Maria da Penha Law, NEAM, femicide and self-knowledge of the protection network that exists in the city will be addressed.

Congratulations to the Maria da Penha Law for its 17 years of existence and for bringing hope and protection to women facing domestic and family violence. Through the Women's Reference Center – CRM and other municipal bodies and programs, the city of Senhor do Bonfim stands out in the fight against gender violence and in supporting victims.
