New medical director takes over at Dom Antônio Monteiro Hospital.

Starting this Wednesday (2), the Dom Antônio Monteiro Hospital, which is managed by the Fabamed Foundation, in Senhor do Bonfim, has a new medical director. Everson Matt replaces the former manager Rafael Ayres. The administrative measure seeks to improve care through even greater integration with the services of the UPA and Samu.

Improvements in infrastructure and service.

For over a year, residents of north-central Bahia have benefited from exceptional care. Since Fabamed took over the operation of the hospital's 88 beds in April 2022, the municipal unit in Senhor do Bonfim has undergone several infrastructure improvements, an increase in staff, and reinforced investments. These improvements have directly impacted the quality of care offered to the population of the municipality and region. The president of the Fabamed Foundation, José Saturnino Rodrigues, emphasizes that "we have a complete team, including surgeons and anesthesiologists on call."

Transformation in a short period of time

Despite the short timeframe, the changes made are significant. During this period, the unit now has a general surgeon and anesthesiologist on call 24/7, new maternity facilities and a Natural Birthing Center, as well as repairs to the physical structure and staff training. The president of the Fabamed Foundation analyzes that "the improvements represent a greater qualification of the service offered by the unit, and this is the result of the intense work carried out by Fabamed, which spared no effort to provide structural improvements and staff training at Dom Monteiro."

Excellence in customer service

The excellence of the service provided has been attested to by the patients served, as shown by a satisfaction survey conducted by the unit's management. The survey evaluated items such as the efficiency of the multidisciplinary team, physical facilities, as well as the quality of meals served and hygiene. And the responses were more than encouraging. The service was approved by more than 861 of the patients who participated in the survey, a number that clearly demonstrates the efficiency of the care provided.

Investments to improve service

Investments to further improve the care offered by the unit have also become a distinguishing feature of Fabamed's management. A contract signed between the management company and the Bahia State Health Department (Sesab) ensured the expansion of state investments in the unit through the application of R$1.2 million for 828 surgeries in the areas of orthopedics and orthotraumatology. In total, the state government has been investing more than R$6.1 million per year in services contracted with the hospital through Fabamed's management.
