The Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB) is accepting applications for its specialization course in Science Teaching – Final Years of Elementary School, titled “Science is Great!”. This course offers 230 places, distributed across various locations in Bahia. Classes are scheduled to begin in August 2023.
The goal of the Specialization in Science Teaching is to empower basic education professionals working in elementary and secondary education, offering pedagogical and methodological knowledge to strengthen their teaching practice. The course will last 18 months, with a total workload of 480 hours, in addition to the presentation of a Final Course Project (TCC).
Registration for the course is free and must be done through the Integrated Academic Activities Management System (SIGAA), from May 15th to 21st. More information about the selection process can be found on the institution's website.
"Science is Great" is an initiative of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) that is part of the Science in School program, from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications (MCTIC), and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). Its objective is to offer continuous and high-quality training for basic education teachers throughout the country.
