After this point, the route is entirely on dirt roads, and due to the sandy soil, 4x4 vehicles are recommended. To reach Mateiros, where most of the attractions are located, take the TO-255 from Ponte Alta. It is recommended not to travel on the dirt roads without a guide, as the attractions are in isolated locations and the population density is less than 1 inhabitant per square kilometer.
